On our 360º platform you can now ad 3D environments to your scenes.
So, Fader allows you to create interactive 360 videos very easily and fast. You might have seen other tutorials, if not, go check them out.
You log in, create a new story and you are in your first scene.
When we talk about adding3D environments to your scenes, we are not talking about 360º images or 360º videosbut VR environments.
You will no longer see a plain black sphere anymore. You will see a 360º environment in 3D right away. So, if you want to include an opening text for your story, it doesn’t have to be done with a black background, you can do so with optional 360 environments.
If you don’t like this, you can go to top left, click to the left and the environment will be gone. If you do want to use an environment, you can browse through about a dozen different environments that you can pick for each of your scenes as a background.
Again, these are not 360º stills but actual 3D rendered environment.
You can always remove the current environment by clicking "remove" in the top left and you can always click on “Apply globally”, then the same environment will be used for each new scene you open up.
If you want to add a picture into the scene, you can either use 2D pictures and position them within the scene, you can also add text. If you add a 360º photo or video to the scene, the 3D environment will be gone.
Environments are great if youwant to add more depth to scenes with just text or some menu or credit scene orscenes where you just want to display 2D content.
This is very special because it shows how you can combine 360º content with 3D content in an easy way.
This is just the beginning – we continue to work on this feature, we will extend it, modify it and add further features to Fader so that our users can easily focus on creating an interactive immersive story without having to worry too much about the technical issues.
